Thank you for sharing. I have enjoyed Ozawa’s conducting since I first saw him at Ravinia Festival in 1964. I actually met him while standing in the cafeteria line, I believe the day before his concert, and handed him a tray. We smiled and nodded at each other. When I sat down to eat, someone told me who he was. I still tell people about the encounter and how moved I was by his conducting.
