Are you familiar with the organ version of Sir Arthur Sullivan’s .” The Lost Chord”?
And the vocals of Ivan Rebroff? If you are not, I definitely recommend a listen.
Quite lovely stuff, equally appropriate on a Sunday afternoon as for a Saturday morning. Adding to my playlist!
In the suggestion box, I’ll put forward the preludes of Cesar Cui, Op. 64. I just spent the time previous to this listen going through 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Then I went on to Op. 92, “Trois Esquisses Melodiques”. If you have further recommendations from the Russian “Mighty Handful”, I’d be happy to see them here. 🙂
