La Boheme: “Yes, they call me Mimì”

La Boheme “Yes, they call me Mimì”

We are exploring timeless arias from Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme.

Here’s “Sì, mi chiamano Mimì” (“Yes, they call me Mimì”)

Mimì’s gentle self-portrait here is utterly endearing. She shares her simple life as a seamstress, embroidering flowers while dreaming bigger. This short aria makes us fall in love with Mimi (and the opera).
