Magnificent performance of a magnificent Russian opera. Thank you so much for sharing it. Anna and Dimitry are supreme exponents of Tchaikovsky’s finest opera.
This is a knockout performance by two artists who know this opera inside out. Luckily, I know “Eugene Onegin” well enough to “get it” without translation. Netrebko is my favorite acting singer (along with Natalie Dessay). Dmitri Hvorostovski passed away in 2017, tragically, from a brain tumor. His handsome presence and beautiful, mellow voice won him the hearts of countless female audience members. Thanks for posting!
without translation, and only part of the work did not arouse my enthusiasm.
The Bolshoi has a readerboard above the stage – with the lyrics in Russian.
