It has always been too easy for me to listen to this symphony to easily: everything seems to flow from one thing to another as if it were simple and inevitable that it do so. But concentrated attention to detail, especially to inner voices, results in growing astonishment at the mastery of the composer.
On today`s standards this is a very poor recording,- o.k. it is from 1971 , and therefore it lacks the clarity, and finesse which one expects to-day. – a great pity.
