Orfeo

Written by

Today I’d like to share with you a very short excerpt from the opera Orfeo ed Euridice, by German composer Christoph Willibald Gluck (1714-1787), arranged by Italian composer Giovanni Sgambati (1841-1914).

This is the most majestic, delicate piece – it will melt your heart and uproot your soul. We are going to listen to several performances by different instruments (piano, cello, violin), starting with a piano performance Sergey Rachmaninoff.
