We are continuing our exploration of 2nd movements of romantic piano concertos with Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 2. #PianoAdagios
In 1837, Felix Mendelssohn, now a seasoned 28-year-old, composed his Piano Concerto No. 2 in D minor, Op. 40, during a creative peak amid his busy life as a conductor and newlywed. Mendelssohn premiered it himself on September 21, 1837, in Birmingham, England, captivating listeners with its charm.

Vitaliy, I read your newsletter regularly, have read “Soul in the Game”, appreciate your dad’s artwork and listening to Mendelssohn right now as I analyze my own investment portfolio. I too am a father of 2 boys and a girl and my youngest graduating from college in a few weeks and beginning a career in wealth management with a large investment firm. Your philosophy on investing and emphasis on character of employees and leaders of companies plus living a balanced life I agree wholeheartedly and advocate to all my children.
